THE GALLERY AT CASTLE HILL

VICO FABBRIS, ANNA POOR AND GREGORY WRIGHT
AT
THE GALLERY AT CASTLE HILL
TRURO CENTER FOR THE ARTS
10 MEETINGHOUSE RD
TRURO, MASS
Curated by Cherie Mittenthal
August 28-September 7, 2012

Cherie Mittenthal did a wonderful job of uniting three artists who work within a fantasy theme. Vico Fabbris paints composed flowers in watercolor that float and travel throughout classic and exotic locations. Anna sculptures are depictions of animal parts displayed in whimsical, yet compelling vignettes in bronze and stone. Gregory paints microscopic and cosmic landscapes of energetic shapes the interact and react with each other in encaustic with mixed media. The common thread of each artist's use of familiar objects deconstructed, then reconstructed was engaging. Below are some installation shots of the exhibit and also of Gregory's  workshop which ran concurrently.
